Big D Engine Company is a local, family owned business specializing in Fire Engine Birthday Parties and Special Events in Dallas, Texas
"Big D" is a 1977 Peter Pirsch Fire Engine. It has a 1000 gallon per minute pump and a 750 gallon onboard water tank. Big D went in to service in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1978 and proudly served until 2009. Big D "retired" and moved to Dallas in April 2011 to begin service with the Big D Engine Company LLC. The fire engine is fully functional sounds great and is alot of fun to drive! We are excited to bring Big D to your next event.
Owner, James Flores, is a Dallas fireman, and father of 2 little girls. His wife, Stephanie, is an Elementary Special Education teacher and My Smart Hands Sign Language Instructor for babies and toddlers. Avery, 4, attends A Child's Garden Montessori School in Carrollton and Carly, 2, is laughing and growing every day. The family attends Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas where Stephanie is a Deacon.
